You will have to access the Forgot Password? link available on the Hotmail homepage or use the link posted below. Click the I forgot my password and enter you email address, then the system will provide additional information and steps necessary to recover the password. After a successfull change, the next time you use Windows Live, it will ask you for the new password. Add it and that's it.
It turns off automatically after some minutes. Can you help?

In order to fix the issue, I suggest you uninstall the software using its uninstaller or Add or Remove Programs feature (Control Panel > Uninstall a program) and download and install its latest version available. If your computer runs a 64-bit operating system launch the wllogin_64 msi installer. If not, double-click the wllogin_32 msi file.
If you use a desktop application to send e-mails, make sure that your login is OK. You can test using a send and receive response from the server. If you cannot reach the server, make sure that the firewall is configured to allow the application to access the Internet. Once you do this, you will be able to send and receive e-mails through Hotmail service.
This afternoon someone either at MSN or AOL turned off my security settings. I can't connect to anything now. What should I do?

If details about your accounts have been changed, then you need to visit the log-in page of these services to take advantage of the forgot password (in case you can't log-in). After you have logged on, access the security settings, change the password and any other recovery methods you have set up. I also recommend enabling the 2nd step verification. This greatly helps to enhance security for your services.
